Story
This year Bess Concrete Pty Ltd has made decision to enter the Bridge to Brisbane as a team including a number of our employees!
We will all be tackling the 10km event on 29th August.
We have decided to pair this with a fundraiser to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity “Mates in Construction” setting an initial target of $5000!
Mates in Construction is a charity that was established in 2008 to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers. Mates in Construction provide suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and 24/7 help line. Your support for as little as $5.00 which is fully tax deductible can go towards helping provide these services, and one day stop these preventable deaths of Australian construction workers.

Every dollar counts toward helping MATES do the job of suicide prevention in our industry!
MATES in Construction is a for the industry, by the industry, not for profit that exists to strengthen the construction, mining and energy industries by preventing suicide; because a life saved is one less family grieving, one less site devastated and one less community heartbroken.
MATES is an evidence-based program that reduces stigma and promotes mentally healthier workplaces through training and support. MATES Field Officers deliver training to sites and keep in contact if anyone is in need, while MATES Support is available 24/7 to workers and their families who may be doing it tough.
