Story
Hey there,
My family and I have been doing the Bridge to Brisbane for the past couple of years as a way to bring our family spread around the state (and now the country!) together, which is getting harder and harder as time goes on and our lives get busier.
It's always a lovely day full of chat, positivity, and laughs. In fact, it's a wonder we make it up the hills, because we don't stop talking the whole time.
I don't usually elect to fundraise in addition to the race fee itself, but this year, I thought 'why not?'
I think Lifeline's services have been extra in need over the past couple of years, and I figure they could use a hand.
If you feel like donating to them, great! I've nominated them as my charity of choice for my Bridge to Brisbane 10KM this year.

Join Team Lifeline Queensland for Bridge to Brisbane 2023! At Lifeline Queensland, we exist so that no person has to face their darkest moments alone. Suicide is a national emergency. Lifeline Queensland's Crisis Supporters answer over 12,000 calls for help a month and this number has been increasing since the recent floods and ongoing pandemic. On average, it costs $39 to answer one call for help. Fundraising for Lifeline is a great way to make a difference in your community, raise awareness about mental health and raise funds for Lifeline to ensure more calls for help are answered. It is only through the support and kindness of amazing people like you that we can keep being here for those who reach out to us. Whatever your age or ability, sign up for the Bridge to Brisbane to support Lifeline Queensland and run, jog, or walk at your own pace either on your own or as a team with friends, family, or workmates! Together, we can save lives.
