Team Canteen
Story
Canteen believes that every young person deserves access to life-changing cancer support. By taking part in Bridge to Brisbane or helping us fundraise, you are standing beside young people facing the hardest journey of their lives. You’re showing you understand the pain they’re experiencing and that you’re willing to help lift them up.
This year, Team Canteen will be hosted by our Queensland Local Leadership Team.
Youth Leadership is a part of Canteen’s DNA. Each state has a Local Leadership group that is made up of young people who have received support from Canteen in some way and are motivated by a passion to make a difference – to help others, raise awareness of cancer’s impact and to help shape Canteen.
Queensland’s Local Leadership team is made up of young people who’ve experienced the impact of cancer firsthand—and now they’re giving back. This year, they’re stepping up by leading a team of runners, walkers and rollers in Bridge to Brisbane. Whether they’re lacing up alongside the team, cheering from the sidelines or rallying support, they’re raising vital funds to help Canteen be there for more young people across Queensland.
