Story
Hey everyone!!
This year I have decided to do the Bridge to Brisbane run to raise awareness for Brain Cancer. As you may or may not be aware I lost my Dad to this nasty cancer last year. Dad was always involved in raising awareness and money for a number of charities. This has inspired me to raise awareness and money for him. I have hope that one day we will live in a world where there will be a cure for Brain Cancer.
All funds raised go straight to the “Cure Brain Cancer Foundation”
A few facts:
- 15 months is the average survival time after being diagnosed.
- only 5% of people diagnosed with glioblastoma (the most common brain cancer) survive longer than 5 years.
- every year 1500 Australians die from brain cancer (young and old, male and female)
