Story
Hi folks,
I have been part of the Spring Mapleton Adventure team for 13 years and this September will be serving on my 14th camp. I have seen countless young people's lives changed on this camp. We take students away for 5 days of canoeing, archery, abseiling, rock-climbing, orienteering, swimming, and games. Through the activities they conquer their fears of heights or water - and they realise that they can face other challenges in their lives as well. They learn – not through words, but through lived experience - that they can achieve more by working as a team than by working alone, and that respect and generosity are far more powerful than payback or revenge. Most importantly, the learn that they are loved by God and that they are worthy and valued.
We could not make this camp happen without the generous support of sponsors to help parents cover the cost of camp. So, I am walking in the Bridge to Brisbane to help raise funds to support another generation of young people to have their lives changed on Spring Mapleton Adventure 2025.

Spring Mapleton Adventure Camp (SU Australia Camps)
SU Australia school Chaplains, or 'Chappies', support the holistic wellbeing of our school communities across Australia. Chaplains provide a listening ear and a caring presence for children and young people in crisis. They also provide support for staff and parents in school communities. Support is provided through one-on-one support, running small groups and other community activities. School Chaplains make a difference, and are loved by their communities.
