Story

As you know, my dear Dad passed away from Dementia earlier this year. This insidious disease took a hold of Dad quickly. It was confronting, sad, stressful and to be really honest an emotional rollercoaster that we are still trying to come to terms with.
For this years Bridge to Brisbane, I will be running 10k for Dementia Australia who do some amazing work with providing a wide range of support, guidance, knowledge and most importantly assist to help find a cure for Dementia.
You can support my efforts and help me reach my fundraising goal by making a donation. Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to Dementia Australia.
I know Dad would think I am a little crazy doing this for him but also know he will be looking down on me with his big smile pushing me along.
Thanks!

Dementia Australia

Dementia Australia is a unified, national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information, as well as fundraise and facilitate research into dementia.

We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia. Please visit www.dementia.org.au to access a wide range of resources and how to contact our National Dementia Helpline.

Community support through donations and sponsorship, as well as bequests, is vital to the continuation and growth of our work.
