Story

This year I am participating in the Bridge to Brisbane and fundraising for Crohns & Colitis Australia.

As you may know, I have had Crohn’s disease for nearly 20 years. CCA has helped me on several occasions during that time. CCA invests in research so we can learn as much as possible about this disease. I have participated in several research projects to ensure researchers have enough data for their work.

I have dropped one of my usual bootcamp training sessions so I can pick up an extra run until the event in Sept. So I will be running twice a week on top of my weights, boxing and bootcamp sessions. Training has helped with my fatigue over the past 8 years and has helped me achieve remission along with my meditation which is why I can participate at all. Running doesn’t come naturally to me so it is a big challenge to run twice a week in the lead up to the event.

Please consider donating if you can.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to Crohns and Colitis Australia.

Thank you so much for your support!

Donate to make a difference

Crohn's & Colitis Australia

For more than three decades, Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA) has been empowering the more than 100,000 Australian men, women and children living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis – collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – to live fearlessly.

While we invest in research for a cure, CCA continues to advocate for world best treatments and health services for those living with IBD. Through our programs we offer education and support for Australia’s growing Crohn’s and colitis community and raise awareness of the disease. Importantly, our services are offered free of charge.
