Story
Hi everyone
My story... Just over ten years ago, my father was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. This is a terrifying disease that takes a person away, piece by piece. It is a horrible feeling seeing it happen, and knowing that there is nothing you can do to stop it.
This year I am making a difference by participating in the Bridge to Brisbane 10KM and fundraising for a cause that is so close to my heart - Dementia Australia. These people are doing some amazing work supporting the families of those affected by diseases such as Alzheimer's.
You can support my efforts and help me reach my fundraising goal by making a secure online donation. After donating, please leave a message of support on my page – it is so motivating read these. My personal goal is to finally beat my PB and complete the course in under 50 minutes, so I'm training hard.

Dementia Australia is a unified, national peak body for people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia, and their families and carers. We provide advocacy, support services, education and information, as well as fundraise and facilitate research into dementia.
We aim to give people living with Dementia the respect they deserve and the support they need. We advocate to government and industry on behalf of people living with dementia, their carers and families and work hard to raise community awareness and understanding of dementia.
