Anastasia Gounaris

This year I am making a difference by participating in the Bridge to Brisbane with Canteen Queensland's Local Leadership Team to raise awareness for Canteen and to support other young people like us who have been impacted by cancer. I will be running for a cause that is close to my heart and supporting an organisation that is doing some truly amazing work.

Canteen has been there for me and supported me through my own cancer journey. The organisation helps young people across Australia who are impacted by cancer, whether it be with their own diagnosis or after a parent or sibling has been diagnosed with cancer, and provide free counselling, education support, and programs and events that bring us together to reduce the isolation that often comes with a cancer diagnosis.

By taking part in this event and fundraising, I’m not only raising awareness for Canteen but also showing support for other young people like me who have been affected by cancer.
